Steigenberger Hotel Conti Hansa Kiel

The male receptionist M R was very rude and not service minded at all when I entered the hotel on my own ( my husband was waiting outside in the car). His service level was very much under what I normally get in other hotels of same category. He was irritated from the very first second. He told me that there were no available spaces in the garage despite the signal at the entrance showing 4 free spaces. He asked me to park in another parking in the other side of the road. I went out and my husband saw that the signal had changed to 8 places so we took a chance and entered the garage and found a far too small space but we managed to park the car. He allocated us to a room for people with handicap despite the fact that neither my husband or I suffer of any disability or asked for it. He was irritated with all that I said f ex that we were no smokers. The rest of the staff was great specially at the restaurant, where we enjoyed a great dinner and lovely breakfast.

Located near a park and a few minutes walking from pedestrian area, this hotel is really nice and quiet. Room is small but comfortable, bathroom with spacious shower and toiletries, safe. Coffee and tea as well as water are available in the room. Breakfast buffet which offers a variety of choice. Parking available. You can also buy drinks at the reception. Bar is open in the evening and serves nice cocktails.

I liked the location of the hotel, the staff, and the comfort of the room. The view of the harbor was pleasant. The breakfast was sumptuous and had lots of delicious options.

Great place to stay. Wonderfull food and really nice spa. I totally enjoyed my stay. Definitely coming back.
